Hello, I am very much looking forward to meeting you at Rustic Retreats in the magical surroundings of Bagend.
This retreat will be all about bringing balance into your life, giving yourself permission to find time to relax, unwind and refresh. With a blend of calming Yin and the more stimulating, energising and strengthening Yang Yoga, we will help create the optimal balance in both our Yoga asana practice and our lives.
It is suitable for all abilities and each person will be encouraged to work with their own individual body type and not fight against it or force “advanced” asanas. We will all challenge ourselves without being competitive and discover how to improve our strength, flexibility, balance, posture and concentration.
The morning sessions will be dynamic and strengthening to get your day off to an energised start. These sessions will have a theme around which the sequence is designed. The flow sequences will be built up step-by-step and everyone will be encouraged to work at their own level to avoid any injury and get maximum benefit and enjoyment.
This will be followed by some excellent vegetarian food, some time to relax and a workshop each day which will include some theory, practice and the opportunity to have some fun. I will be bringing some of my aerial yoga equipment so you will get a chance to have a go at some fun and safe full inversions, it can be a great way to learn how to headstand or handstand without any danger of falling over. The evening sessions will be slow and gentle bringing your energy down and preparing you for a great night’s sleep.
This yoga week is a great opportunity for those new to yoga to get off to a strong start and for more experienced yogis to build your own practice, un-do any bad habits and to design asana sequences to benefit your body and energy levels.
