Ayurveda & Yoga

Running a yoga retreat center has opened my eye's to so many things that have been around for centuries, but forgotten by many.

I am so grateful to all the teachers at Rustic Retreats who have sparked my interest in so much. At the moment I am reading all I can about Ajurveda, ancient yet timeless, gives you the means of attaining and maintaining your own optimal health and well-being.

I have started with David Frawley's book Ayurvedic Healing still yet to finish as for me this needs as many reads as possible.

Recommend by one of our teachers Anna Hildreth who is teaching next at Rustic Retreats in March is David Frawley's on line courses and books

Also there's the Ayurvedic approach to your yoga practice, recommended by another of our teachers Tania Plahay who is next teaching on our June retreats is this book An Ayurvedic Approach to Your Asana Practice by Dr. David Dr. Frawley & Sandra Summerfield Kozak

This time of year it's always good to boost your immune system Turmeric tea ( golden milk) here's a really good recipe, thanks Tania for sharing.

In our 2018 program we will be running an Ayurvedic yoga retreat. Will let you know as soon as we have finalised details & dates.
