Connecting with the true nature of the mind
A retreat built around exploring movement in the body and breath to help us harmoniously connect inside, and with all aspects of our lives.
Yoga allows us to stop the searching outside ourselves and return within - home. Through exploration of movement in the body and breath we begin to learn about our inner world and the true nature of the mind. As we practice connecting inside ourselves we learn how to harmoniously connect with all aspects of our lives.
You will join us on our beautiful, solar powered, off-grid site in Murcia, Spain, where you will get back in touch with nature, and truly disconnect from the stresses of your day-to-day life. Sleeping in beautiful bell tents surrounded by mountains and groves of lemon trees, you’ll feel at one with the world, while our fabulous workshops and daily yoga practice will invigorate you.

Fascinating daily workshops
Sacha Bryce is a Canadian 500-RYT internationally trained and certified yoga instructor. Her passion stems from her belief in the power of the practice - for mental, spiritual, and physical therapeutic healing.
After experiencing the profound personal transformation from yoga at a young age, her mission is to share the health benefits of the practice for all to integrate into their lives, allowing them to step into their true divine nature as whole, healthy and complete beings.
Styles of yoga taught
Yoga is an ancient integrated way of living, that goes far beyond the modern popularised physical postures (asanas). As living, breathing beings, the practice of yoga is accessible to all of us. Yoga is for all bodies and minds, at any stage of life!
Sacha will work with your individual needs to make sure the daily yoga is practiced safely, comfortably and effectively within the group. She teaches traditional Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Pranayama and meditation. The morning classes will be dynamic and active with balancing and restorative classes in the afternoons. The focus will be allowing you to acknowledge yourself as the true teacher of your own body, breath and mind, and the healer of your own life.
Your Rustic Retreats journey
Yoga is an opportunity to practice getting to know our inner worlds- the source from which our whole life is experienced.
“You should be at least as interested in what goes on inside of you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will just fall into place.”
This retreat will allow you to experience a wide range of new and exciting practices through mindfulness exercises, conscious movement and insightful meditation, bringing ourselves into deeper connection with our inner worlds and inevitably all of life that is constantly around us!
"Yoga is not a work-out, it is a work-in. And this is the point of spiritual practice; to make us teachable; to open up our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are.” — Rolf Gates

Your workshop programme
Yoga alignment workshops
This workshop will be held at the beginning of the retreat to help you gain an immediate understanding of the key elements of yoga asana alignments specific to your body. Through demonstration, explanation and exploration in your body, you will learn the basic postures that will be a part of every yoga practice.
In this workshop you will also learn common misalignments and how to make your own corrections in order to avoid pain and injury in yoga asana. This knowledge will lead you to a safe and effective practice that you will be able to take with you wherever you go: at home, in retreat or in any yoga class you attend!
Mindful eating practice
We often intuitively know what it is that fuels us and what harms our bodies, but we do not always take the time to fully tune in and listen. This workshop will give us the opportunity to examine food as medicine and investigate our relationship with our daily practice of nourishing our bodies.
This workshop will include insight into Ayurveda (ancient traditional Indian medicine) and individual principles of health that we can integrate into our lives. We will also discuss practical tools for mindful eating such as exercises in silence, breathing and chewing - exploring tastes, sensations and the effects of food on the body.
Yoga therapeutic techniques
This workshop will explore the nature of the mind and how we can practice yoga to help us understand our own emotions, behaviors and patterns. Using techniques with our body, breath and mind we can begin to heal our common sources of mental suffering: fear, addiction, anxiety, and depression.
The will be an introduction to the scientific basis that explains how yoga has been proven to be effective in this field as well as practical demonstration of specific pranayama breathing techniques, postures and meditation tools that can be taken home with you!
This unique dance meditation is an opportunity to release our rational minds and let our bodies feel their way through conscious movement. With gentle guidance, we’ll experience different types of intuitive movement - releasing, opening, and feeling into the excitement of being alive.
Dance meditation can be very liberating and exhilarating as we consciously move our bodies, freeing ourselves from trapped emotions and energy, celebrating the dance of life!
Creative writing workshop
Diving into how yoga can relate beyond asana, this writing workshop will give you a unique opportunity to explore the possibilities of using writing as a tool for deep expression, creativity and freedom.
We will explore different exercises such as ‘stream of consciousness writing’ where you allow the pen to just flow with the words as they arise. You will be guided to a space where the quiet voice of your heart can be heard beyond the loud voice of your mind. There will also be suggestions of everyday writing activities that you can take home with you, and use in your everyday life.
